We'll spend 30 minutes getting to know each other while we wait for everyon e to arrive. Afterwards we'll walk around Astoria following this route : https://goo.gl/maps/YyeZn  \nIf you've never been to Astoria, thi s is the perfect opportunity to really see it as we'll be walking down some major streets including Steinway and Ditmars + we'll be walking along Shore Blvd next to Astoria Park which has amazing views of Hel l Gate Bridge, Robert F. Kennedy Bridge, Randall's Island, the East Ri ver and New York City. Like really, really amazing! If you live in A storia and/or you've been to all these places as I have umpteen times you'll come to see them all again. For those who haven't, you're in fo r a treat. \nMeeting place: Socrates Sculpture Park located at 32- 01 Vernon Blvd, Long Island City, NY 11106. \nMeeting time: 1:00 PM\ nWalk start time: 1:30 PM \nThe age range for this walk is wide ope n. I did this walk last year and we had around 200 people in attenda nce. The more people there are, the more people there are to meet. \n \nThe pace of this walk will be easy-going. The total distance is 4.8 miles and it should take approximately 3 hours to complete.  If you do not wish to walk all 4.8 miles, please feel free to break away at a ny time.\nIf this is your first time attending a meetup, try not to w orry too much. Around 80% of attendees are first timers so you won't b e alone + I won't leave you alone.
